The Mitchell School District is hosting a community open-house at the new high school on Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm.
Superintendent Joe Childs is excited. “We know the building won’t be 100% complete,” Childs said. “But we also know that it’s going to really give you a feel of what this place is going to look like and how excited and nice it will look for our students when they arrive for the first day of school.”
The program starts with opening remarks, followed by guided or self-guided tours. “And we are going to have many other opportunities for folks to come in and see the building,” Childs continued. “We’re excited about what things have turned out to look like and the way we’re going to use the space that we have. And so definitely there will be opportunities for them to see this building if they can’t make it at the open-house.”
Visitors may enter through the main entrance which was recently completed.
