The state budget that South Dakota lawmakers set during this year’s session begins to come into focus this week.
Senator Lee Schoenbeck of Watertown is president pro tem. He says revenue estimates are due this week….
Schoenbeck sees two priorities when it comes to putting together the Fiscal Year budget: the state college tuition freeze and funding domestic violence shelters.
The budget bill is traditionally one of the last pieces of legislation passed.
The main run of the session runs through March 7th, with March 25th set aside to consider overriding any gubernatorial vetoes.
