Representatives of Tegra, a real estate and project management firm, outlined its services to Davison County Commissioners on the topic of a potential new county jail construction project.
Co-Founder Dick Strassburg explained the importance of the first-step. “It really is to establish what are the needs and what is it going to cost. That’s the purpose of the first step,” said Strassburg. “Because before you make a decision, you better know that’s the number.”
He added, “once it’s public, that is the number. You need to know what it is and how it works.”
The company has experience with projects including the Codington County Jail and Sheriff’s Office, Minnehaha Juvenile Detention Center and Clay County Jail and Law Enforcement Center.
The estimated cost of Tegra services is $100,000. No action was taken as this item was for informational purposes.
