Fire damaged the interior of the North Star Plaza in Mitchell early Friday afternoon. Smoke was visible when firefighters arrived on the scene and entered through the south door where Cabana Tan is located. Firefighters from Ethan and Mount Vernon provided mutual aid.
As of 1:30 two firefighters were inside the building looking for hot spots. We’ll pass along further details as they become available.
