The road to Sturgis stopped in Mitchell Thursday for the 19th annual Pre-Sturgis Party. Brian Klock of Klock Werks says the growth has been phenomenal. “Everybody’s stoked,” said Klock. “They’re excited to be in Mitchell, and there’s people here from Nova Scotia, from San Antonio, Texas, from Las Vegas, from British Columbia.”
“All coming here just for this party tonight,” he said.
Mitchell Main Street and Beyond executive director Elizabeth Luczak concurred. “We had over 200 motorcycles in the parade kicking off at Klock Werks,” she exclaimed. “Brand new bands tonight, oh so cool for our small community of Mitchell, South Dakota.”
Klock says just wait till next year. “20 years of the Pre-Sturgis Party and 30 years at Klock Werks,” he smiled. “Stay tuned, baby!”
The 86th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally officially starts this afternoon.
