A woman from Reliance, died Thursday in a two-vehicle crash near Lyman, South Dakota.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported shortly before 7pm, the 63 year old driver of a 1998 Suzuki VDD51TON mini truck was traveling southbound on 324th Avenue. At the same time, a 2006 Freightliner semi-truck was traveling westbound on S.D. Highway 248. The driver of the Suzuki entered the intersection without stopping and collided with the Freightliner. She was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. The 57 year old male driver of the freightliner was taken to a Chamberlain hospital with minor injuries.
Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.
