MITCHELL, S.D. — The Mitchell Police Department and Davison County Sheriff’s Office will host National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Hitchcock Park.
The free community event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at the park, located at 1201 E. Hanson Ave.
National Night Out is an annual event that promotes partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Organizers say the evening is designed to strengthen neighborhood relationships while providing residents an opportunity to meet local officers in an informal setting.
The event will feature refreshments, emergency vehicle displays and opportunities for community members to connect with police officers, sheriff’s deputies and other public safety personnel.
Officials encourage residents of all ages to attend the event, meet their local law enforcement agencies and learn more about the services they provide while helping build stronger and safer neighborhoods.
