Two people are facing numerous felony charges after officers executed a search warrant Wednesday evening.
Members of the Mitchell Police Department’s Emergency Response Unit carried out the operation at 8:41 pm at 707 South Minnesota Avenue regarding a burglary and drug investigation.
Police arrested 35 year old Cale Carl Bender and 28 year old Hailee Rae Flores after the search uncovered methamphetamine, marijuana and stolen property.
Both face charges including possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a drug-free zone and possession of stolen property.
Flores is also facing a distribution of a controlled substance charge.
The Sanborn County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
