Memorial Weekend In Mitchell enjoys a gift from Mother Nature

Mother Nature cooperating, led to a successful Memorial Weekend in Mitchell.

Mitchell Main Street and Beyond’s Liz Luczak says it was a great day. “Couldn’t have asked for better weather, better people and it’s just good vibes down here on Mitchell’s Main Street,” said Luczak.

Events included a poker run, corn-hole tournament, live music, and the popular show and shine. “It absolutely didn’t matter if it wasn’t quite so shiny today, those vehicles shined up Main Street for us,” she said. “We had over 60 entries, the South Dakota Mud-Racers and the Twin River Old Iron Club.”

It also served as a fund-raiser for ROCS. “The Rural Office of Community Services. They help people in need in our county,” Luczak noted.

Plus a 10 team BBQ rib championship which prepared 4,902 bones to enjoy. Wholestone Farms and the Davison County Pork Producers furnished the ribs.
