A 64 year old woman from Mitchell died Monday from injuries sustained during a Saturday morning hit and run crash near Humbolt.
The driver of a Chevrolet Traverse was traveling eastbound on I-90 when she attempted to pull off on the side of the road. At the same time, the Traverse was struck by an eastbound Semi pulling a trailer. The truck continued driving east after the crash and has yet to be located. The driver of the Traverse was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital where she died from her injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
