Mitchell Technical College opened its fall semester on Monday. “Our enrollment looks strong,” said MTC president Theresa Kriese. “We should have a good count at the end of next week. We usually wait for the first 10 days and then we’ll have our firm count then.”
She’s looking forward to an exciting semester at MTC. “We’re opening our new underground lab, which will be great for our Powerline program,” Kriese said. “We’ve expanded our electrical program this year. And we did a workshop with our faculty and staff about incorporating AI and the ethical use of AI in their classes, and so we look to see that expanding over this year as well.”
During Dakotafest, Kriese said MTC hosted the U-S Agriculture Undersecretary and Deputy Undersecretary as well as Governor Larry Rhoden.
