A Sacramento, California man has submitted a plan to the Mitchell Planning Commission for developing 223 North Main, formerly known as the Crafty Fox.
John Adamo’s plan is for a 30 unit apartment project in the historic building.
The architect is Larry Jirsa whose office is a block south.
The City of Mitchell purchased the building and paid for some repairs including tuck-pointing and new windows. Mayor Bob Everson says work was halted on the windows until lead dust mitigation is completed sometime in the near future.
The Planning Commission will review the plan at its meeting on Monday at noon in Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting is open to the community.
