
Class B State Volleyball Tournament – Saturday, November 22 in Rapid City
No. 8 Herreid/Selby Area 3, No. 6 Harding County 2, (23-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-13, 15-12) – 7th Place
Harding County was led by Kamry Padden’s 17 kills, 27 digs and 13 assists, Macey Wendt’s 11 kills and 21 digs, and setter Mya Glines, who posted 30 assists, six aces and 13 digs. Herreid/Selby Area answered with a huge day from Jordyn Rossow, who delivered 24 kills, nine digs and two aces, while Breanna Jochim added 14 kills and 19 digs. Setter Katie Allbee tallied 40 assists, and Alyssa Kaup anchored the defense with 40 digs. Both teams finished with 119 digs
No. 7 Gayville-Volin 3, No. 4 Parkston 0, (25-8, 26-24, 25-21), – 5th Place
Gayville-Volin was powered by Maia Achen’s 15 kills and 16 digs, while Aliza Westrum added eight kills and Jolie Westrum tallied 20 digs. Setter Kendra Beeck finished with 23 assists and Paisley Dimmer chipped in seven kills and 13 digs. Parkston was led by Keeara Oakley’s 11 kills, 20 digs and an ace, while Finley Bogenreif handed out 18 assists. Berkley Ziebart anchored the defense with 23 digs. Gayville-Volin collected 39 kills, 39 assists and 97 digs in the sweep.
No. 2 Northwestern 3, No. 5 Bennett County 0, (25-20, 25-19, 25-12) – 3rd place
Northwestern was led by Ashley Haven’s 17 kills and Breelyn Satter’s nine kills, while Ella Boekelheide guided the offense with 28 assists. The Wildcats also added nine aces, including four from Sophia Troske and three from Brenna Halvorson. Bennett County got a strong effort from Reagan O’Neill, who delivered 16 kills, while Macy Claussen finished with 23 assists. Peyson O’Neill added seven kills and 17 digs.
No. 1 Chester 3, No. 3 Warner 0, (25-23, 25-16, 25-18) – State Championship
