DWU Men’s Wrestling Picks Up Third Consecutive Dual Win Over Waldorf in Battle at Bowman V

FOREST CITY, Iowa — RV Dakota Wesleyan Men’s Wrestling squared off against the Waldorf Warriors in Battle at the Boman V.

Will Farren kicked off the night at 125, where he ended up on the wrong side of a scramble, and ended up falling by pin in the first period. Tukker Boe would respond at 133 for Dakota Wesleyan with a pinfall in just 1:55 to even the team score back up at 6-6.

Landon Flogstad had a dominant offensive showing, with multiple takedowns and impressive grappling abilities, towards the end of the contest, resulting in a 12-4 major decision win. Zach Kolbe would fall in the 149 bout by pinfall before the end of the first, but was avenged by Gavin Braun at 157 following a third-period pinfall, and got further support from Jackson Remmers at 165 after recording a first-round pin over Hooten of Waldorf.

Tate Miller put up a stout effort at 174 that ultimately fell short after a late takedown from Hames, resulting in a 5-2 decision loss. Still, Jaxon Quail was able to find another response for the Tigers at 184, pinning Hughes of Waldorf in the third period following a flurry of offense.

DWU took a forfeit loss at 197 before Cole Hennings capped off the night with an 8-0 major decision victory that pushed the Tigers to a 32-21 team win. The dual marks Dakota Wesleyan’s third-straight win against GPAC opponents.
