
MITCHELL, S.D. — Dominance from Estelline/Hendricks’ Maggie Hausman and a strong showing from Addison Duba of Parkston/Ethan/Hanson/Mount Vernon highlighted the 2026 Class A State Gymnastics Meet individual competition Saturday at Mitchell High School.
Hausman captured the all-around title with a score of 37.9, leading a Redhawks sweep of two of the top three spots. Chamberlain’s Kylah Biggins finished second at 37.3, while Estelline/Hendricks’ Riah Hartung placed third at 36.9.
PEHMV’s Addison Duba turned in one of the Royals’ top performances of the day, placing fourth in the all-around at 35.95. Teammate Claire Sommer added a ninth-place finish (34.7), Piper Reichert took 15th (34.1) and Lily Bahmuller placed 17th (34.0) to give the Royals multiple gymnasts in the upper half of the standings.
Hausman’s title was fueled by victories on bars (9.36) and floor (9.75), along with runner-up finishes on vault (9.46) and a third-place beam score (9.31). Biggins claimed the vault championship with a 9.51 and added second on bars and third on floor to secure her all-around runner-up finish. Hartung earned the beam title with a 9.55 and was second on floor.
Duba’s performance stood out for PEHMV across multiple events. She finished second on beam with a 9.4, the Royals’ highest individual event placement, and tied for third on bars at 8.85. Duba also cracked the top 10 on vault (eighth, 8.95) and posted an 8.75 on floor.
Sommer contributed a ninth-place vault score (8.86) and placed eighth on floor (9.08), while Reichert and Bahmuller added solid finishes on floor and beam to bolster the Royals’ overall showing. Reichert scored 9.03 on floor, and Bahmuller turned in an 8.71 floor routine and 8.56 beam performance.
