Mathiowetz Named Summit League Players of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State’s Madison Mathiowetz was named the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week by the conference office Monday. Mathiowetz led the Jackrabbits to victory at Oral Roberts Saturday with a career-high 22 points.

Mathiowetz’s scoring output came on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor with six 3-pointers as the Jacks’ beat the Eagles 103-77. Her six threes in the game are tied for the second-most by a Summit League player in a single game this season. Along with her career-high point total, Mathiowetz also added three rebounds, three assists and a steal to her stat line. This is the first weekly award of her career. SDSU is the second Summit League team this season to have three separate players pick up the accolade.

Mathiowetz and the Jackrabbits improved to 18-5 on the season and remain unbeaten in Summit League play at 10-0.
