
DAKOTA DUNES, S.D. — Dakota Wesleyan sits 10th after the opening day of the Great Plains Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championships on Monday at Dakota Dunes Country Club, with 27 of 54 holes completed in the postseason event.
The Tigers finished the first round at 129-over-par and will look to climb the leaderboard in Tuesday’s final 27 holes. Morningside leads the team standings at 40-over, followed by Doane at 61-over and Saint Mary (Neb.) at 67-over in the 12-team field.
Dakota Wesleyan was LED by Allison Meyerink, who opened with a 7-over 79 and is tied for first individually after one round. Meyerink sits alongside Morningside’s Ivanna Becerra Diaz and Kamryn Zuniga, all at 7-over entering the final day.
Behind Meyerink, Dakotah Larson is tied for 35th at 28-over, while Sara Sudenga is tied for 43rd at 35-over. Jaida Young sits 50th at 59-over, and Tessa Bulson is 53rd at 88-over as the Tigers aim to tighten scoring in the final two rounds.
The championship concludes Tuesday with the final 27 holes at Dakota Dunes Country Club.
