Parkston’s Landon Weber in Second After Day One of Class A Boys Golf Tournament

Vermillion, S.D. – Parkston’s Landon Weber is tied for second after day one of the Class A Boys Golf Championships at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion.

Weber shot an opening round -1(71) and is tied with Matt DeBeer of Dakota Valley. Hayden Heig of St. Thomas More holds a two shot lead with a -3 (69).

Weber had five birdies on the day and was -3 through his first 11 holes.

The Trojans are in eighth place in the 17 team field with a score of +51, just three shots behind sixth place West Central.

Dakota Valley leads the team standings with a +3 (291), six shots better than Vermillion.

The second and final day of the Class A Boys State Golf Championships starts at 9 am on Tuesday at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion.
