Indiana corn, soybean farmers join national farm groups backing USMCA

Indiana corn and soybean farmers are joining national ag

commodity groups in their call for Congress to ratify the U.S. Mexico Canada

Agreement as soon as possible.

Joe Steinkamp, a farmer and ASA board member, says growers understand the importance of the relationships they’ve developed in Canada and Mexico. He says keeping the trade routes open helps farmers stay profitable.

Nearly $45 million of Hoosier ag goods went to Canada and nearly $12 million of ag goods went to Mexico in 2017.
