Minnesota Farm Bureau pleased with WOTUS repeal

Minnesota Farm Bureau president Kevin Paap is pleased to see the WOTUS rule repealed.

“I think all farmers want clean water, but farmers also want clear rules.”

He suggests WOTUS was not clear and calls it a case of government overreach.

“We really felt that 2015 rule was a vast expansion of jurisdiction over water and land that was traditionally regulated by the state.”

Paap tells Brownfield he understands the need for federal
rules for large navigable waters.  But he
says other waters should be regulated on a statewide basis.
