A Pennsylvania judge recently cut a $2.25 billion verdict against Bayer to $400 million in a Roundup case.
In January, a jury decided with the plaintiff who claimed using Roundup for several years caused his non-Hodkins lymphoma. The reductions in damages came after Bayer pushed for a post-trial motion.
In a statement to Brownfield, Bayer says it still disagrees with the ruling on the liability verdict and plans to appeal, saying significant misleading and inflammatory errors occurred in the trial court hearing.
