Wind makes herbicide applications more difficult

Blustery conditions are making herbicide applications difficult in parts of the Midwest.

LG Seeds agronomist Jed Norman covers northeast Iowa and says wind continues to be a factor.

“So guys are doing whatever they can (like) getting out early or go out kind of later in the day, push the evening hours just a little bit just to make sure we’re getting out there with the pre.”

He tells Brownfield the first flush of weeds has come on earlier than normal because of mild weather in February and March.
