Sioux Falls Police Department responded to a stabbing incident involving two acquaintances at 8th Street and Fairfax Avenue, east of Downtown Sioux Falls at 6:30 pm on Friday.
The altercation between the two men resulted in one of them stabbing the other.
The victim, a 54-year-old man, sustained three non-life-threatening stab wounds to his back.
The 40-year-old suspect was arrested for aggravated assault, and additional charges may be considered by the State Attorney’s Office.
The incident is currently under investigation.
