Another dining choice is coming to Mitchell’s Main Street

The former Back-40 building is destined for demolition. During Monday’s Mitchell City Council meeting a representative of Israel Espinosa, owner of El Columpio, Corona Village and Mya’s Teriyaki announced plans are in the works to tear down the building at 511 North Main Street and rebuild. “We will tear everything down as we’ve done with all of our other restaurants,” said the spokesman. “We do everything the right way so this one is going to be completely demolished and built from the ground up.”

The new building will have two-stories. He explained, “For the full-service restaurant, which we plan on building on the second floor, it is on six lots, so it will be a pretty big building and a pretty big restaurant.” He continued, “Be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. That’s a little sneak peek for right now.”

The announcement followed the council’s approval of a liquor license transfer from Justin Thiesse doing business as Legacy Pointe, LLC to Israel Espinosa, dba Murguia LLC.
