The City of Mitchell has launched a community survey about recreation use at Lake Mitchell. City administrator Stephanie Ellwein says the information gathered will help form a long-range public use plan developed in partnership with the City of Mitchell and North Dakota State University. “It allows the community to go in and say how often they’re using the lake, what amenities that they use around the lake, what kind of amenities they’d like to see in the future and what are any concerns that they have,” said Ellwein.
She says the on-line survey takes about seven and a half minutes to complete. Ellwein says about 125 people responded to the survey in the first twelve hours before it was officially announced. “It’s really exciting to see the number of people in a wide range of age categories, income brackets, residents where they live…participating in these various input and feedback sessions,” Ellwein said.
You’ll find a link to the survey on the Mitchell Parks and Recreation Facebook page posts.
