Names Released in Bon Homme County Fatal Crash

A 49 year old man from Omaha, Nebraska man died Monday in a two-vehicle crash near Tyndall.

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety Preliminary reported around 8am Monday, 32 year old Dustin Ray Bothwell from Colman was driving a Ford F-250 northbound on S.D. Highway 37 near the intersection of S.D. Highway 52. At the same time, Yeon Yu Choi, the driver of a Honda Pilot, was traveling westbound on Highway 52. He slowed for the stop sign and failed to yield to Bothwell’s vehicle as he entered the intersection. The two vehicles collided.

All three people were taken to a Tyndall hospital. Choi died from his injuries. His passenger, 47 year old Yoo Lim Kim from Omaha was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital via Life Flight with life-threatening injuries. Bothwell sustained minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
