YPSILANTI, Mich. — Allison Meyerink capped off her impressive season at the NAIA Women’s Golf Championships in Michigan at the Eagle Crest Golf Course.
Competition would be delayed by an entire day for Meyerink as the weather pushed her initial tee time back to Wednesday, May 20th. In a large field, Meyerink was able to get to work in the first round to stay with the pack. She opened the back nine of round one with four consecutive bogeys, but would settle in to record nine pars in the first round of play.
Meyerink was able to cap off the first day of competition with a birdie on hole nine, ending the round at 80 (+8). She would reach the top half of the competitors, but needed to find a way to climb on day two.
The second round saw Meyerink record two birdies instead of one, posting a -1 on holes nine and 14 to get ahead on the scoresheet, and she was able to improve her total round pars to 11. Her two-stroke improvement from the first round was an impressive showing, but she was not able to make the cut for the third and final round.
Meyerink’s impressive sophomore season ends short of a national placement, but the back-to-back GPAC individual champion is sure to continue building her legacy as a Tiger in the coming year.
Meyerink’s efforts close out all athletic activities on the 2025-26 calendar for DWU Athletics.
