HURON, S.D. – The Huron High School and Post 7 baseball programs have launched the “Swing for the Fences” fundraising campaign to raise the final $300,000 needed to complete a new $1.2 million baseball facility at Memorial Stadium.
Organizers say the project will provide year-round indoor training, batting cages, pitching areas, meeting and video training space, upgraded concessions, restrooms and umpire facilities, along with advanced player development technology.
The facility is designed to reduce the need for local athletes to travel to other communities for offseason training while preserving Memorial Stadium’s 75-year tradition as the home of Huron baseball.
Donation opportunities range from $100 to $25,000, with naming rights available through board approval, and supporters can make pledges over three to five years.
Organizers say every contribution will help complete a project intended to serve Huron baseball players, families and fans for generations.
