Stoebner selected to the Class AA Girls Basketball All-State team

Mitchell’s Sawyer Stoebner has been selected to her first Class AA All-State team, earning a spot on the Second Team as a Sophomore.

Stoebner averaged 15.9 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals in 16 games this season to lead the Kernels to a #10 seed in the SoDak 16 and an 8 game winning from January 14 to February 8.

The only other Sophomore selected to this year’s AA All-State team was South Dakota State recruit and O’Gorman point guard Mahli Abdouch.

Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda of Sioux Falls Washington was named Class AA Girls Basketball Player of the Year. The University of Texas recruit led the Warriors with 18 points and 8 rebounds per game. Washington earned a #1 seed heading into the Class AA Girls Basketball Tournament with a 20-1 record.
