NFL
— The NFL released a statement Monday on New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch, whose name showed up more than 400 times in files released by the U.S. Justice Department regarding Jeffrey Epstein. The statement said the NFL is aware of the reports and will look into the matter “to understand the facts.”

— NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said there have been no discussions with the union about adding an 18th game to the season and said lengthening the season again was not inevitable. The NFL added a 17th game in 2021 and Goodell has expressed interest in the past about adding an 18th game in place of one of the three exhibition games each team plays every season. Goodell said a number of issues would have to be discussed with the union before an 18th game was added, including whether a second bye week was needed and the size of rosters.

— Head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead have agreed to multiyear contract extensions to stay with the Los Angeles Rams. McVay and Snead have led the Rams through one of the longest stretches of success in franchise history. The Rams are 92–57 in the regular season and 10–6 in the playoffs since McVay was hired in 2017. The Rams immediately ended a 12-year playoff absence and reached the Super Bowl one year later before winning the franchise’s second Super Bowl title in February 2022.

— The Denver Broncos have promoted quarterbacks coach Davis Webb to offensive coordinator. Webb replaces Joe Lombardi, who was recently fired after 15 years with the team. Broncos head coach Sean Payton has not confirmed if Webb will take on playcalling duties. The coaching changes come after the Broncos finished 14-3 last season but fell short in the AFC Championship against the Patriots.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL
— Arizona remains the unanimous No. 1 in the AP Top 25 men’s college basketball poll. Michigan jumped to second place after wins over Nebraska and Michigan State. UConn, Duke and Illinois round out the top five. Kansas climbs three spots to No. 11 after a win over BYU. Arizona and No. 23 Miami (Ohio) are the only unbeaten teams left in Division I.

— Louisville moved up to sixth for its best ranking in four years in The AP women’s Top 25 basketball poll. UConn remained the unanimous No. 1 and are the lone undefeated team in women’s college basketball. UConn has won 39 consecutive games dating to last season. UCLA, South Carolina and Texas remained behind the Huskies in an unchanged top four.

— Major League Baseball’s average salary increased by 1.4% last year, reaching a record $4.7 million, according to the players’ association. This is the smallest increase since the average dropped for four straight seasons before 2022. The average has risen 28% in the first four seasons of the current labor deal.

— At least six teams are expected to leave their regional sports network, Main Street Sports, and join Major League Baseball, shedding their once-lucrative local media contracts. And additional teams are expected to follow. Milwaukee, Miami, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Tampa Bay have decided they will partner with MLB, which will produce their games for the 2026 season and beyond. Atlanta, Detroit and the L.A. Angels, the remaining baseball teams in Main Street Sports’ portfolio, have yet to announce their plans,

— An arbitrator has ruled in favor of Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier in his salary dispute with the NBA. Rozier’s pay, which was held in escrow since December following a federal gambling indictment, will now be released. The ruling found that under the league’s collective bargaining agreement, players cannot be placed on unpaid leave except in cases involving domestic or child abuse. Rozier, who pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and money laundering charges related to a 2023 game-fixing allegation, has not played this season but remains on the Heat roster.

NBA
— With three days left before the NBA trade deadline, the Milwaukee Bucks are now actively engaging teams on a potential deal involving Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Heat, Timberwolves, Warriors and Knicks are among the most aggressive suitors. The Bucks sit 12th in the East at 18-and-29 after losing five straight, and sources say Antetokounmpo has told the organization for months he believes it’s time to move on after more than 12 seasons in Milwaukee. Giannis has played 30 games this year, averaging 28 points, 10 rebounds and nearly six assists, but is currently out with a right calf injury and expected to miss four to six weeks. The NBA trade deadline is Thursday afternoon.

— Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 30 points as Memphis built a 20-point lead in the second half and held on for a 137-128 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 39 points and seven rebounds, while Jaden McDaniels scored 29 points.
