Nebraska corn is 19% mature

The latest crop progress report shows 19 percent of Nebraska’s corn crop has reached maturity, well behind the 35 percent average for mid-September.  Eighty-two percent of the crop has dented. The crop is rated 71 percent good to excellent.

Twenty-two percent of Nebraska’s soybean crop was dropping
leaves, compared to 44 percent normal. Soybeans rated 74 percent good to
excellent.

Sorghum was six percent mature, behind the 23 average. Sorghum rates 81 percent good to excellent.
