The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota, along with the Division of Criminal Investigation, Highway Patrol, and Coroner’s Office, responded to a report of skeletal remains discovered outside Spearfish on December 10.
The remains were found in a remote wooded area, prompting a joint investigation to determine the identity and manner of death.
The case remains open as the authorities work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
