A 46 year old woman from Sioux Falls died last Thursday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash near Sturgis.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported Angelee Kay Glammeier was driving a 2013 Suzuki Gladius eastbound on U.S. Highway 14A. At the same time, 77 year old Darry Warnock Stuart from Wrentham, Massachusetts was driving a Victory Jackpot westbound and failed to negotiate a curve. He crossed into the eastbound land and struck the Suzuki. Glammeier sustained fatal injuries. Stuart was transported to a Sturgis hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries. The eastbound lanes were closed for approximately one hour.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the crash investigation.
